The Merchant Taylors’ curriculum aims to provide breadth, depth, balance, and choice, appropriate to the age and stage of the pupils, while at the same time promoting academic excellence and the development of all pupils. Specifically, the curriculum addresses the key areas of experience as required by the Independent School Standards and Regulations.

The school provides a broad academic provision between the ages of 4 and 18 designed to give pupils full access to all the educational experiences while providing increasing choices to provide a degree of flexibility while ensuring pupils are properly equipped to make a range of choices in the future.

With this in mind, we are aligning the curriculum across MTGS and MTBS for Years 7 to 11, having already harmonised the curriculum at VI Form from September 2024.
