As part of our ongoing Estates Strategy, we remain committed to delivering a vibrant and future-focused learning environment for our pupils. While we had anticipated progressing with the sale of the Girls’ School site, we have recently been informed that the prospective purchaser has decided to withdraw from the acquisition process.

 Although this development is naturally a setback, we remain optimistic. Our appointed commercial marketing agents are already re-engaging with the market, and the property will be actively re-marketed from today. Encouragingly, this pause creates an opportunity for previously interested parties to revisit the site, and for new potential investors to come forward.

The planned changes to the Harrison site continue as scheduled and will be ready for the return to Term in September 2025, and we will be sharing an update on progress on these works next week. There may be a short delay to some elements of our longer-term Estates’ Strategy; however, the School and Board of Governors remain fully committed to our long-term vision and will continue to progress plans as swiftly as possible once a new buyer is secured.

 In the meantime, we are excited to share a preview of one of the most anticipated projects within our strategy, the refurbishment of the school swimming pool. This facility holds a special place in the heart of our community, and we are exploring ways to ensure that the refurbishment can be completed in time for the start of the 2026 academic year.
